From Spanish Fork, Utah, Johnathan is a BFA graduate of the Music Dance Theatre program at BYU, and was a member of LINK Class 6 in NYC. Johnathan has been trained in multiple genres of dance, including Hip Hop, Ballroom, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, and Tap.

He has danced with BYU’s Contemporary Dance Theater, and BYU’s Young Ambassadors, the latter giving him the opportunity to be dance captain and assistant director. He has won multiple awards in dance, ranging from being a finalist at National Ballroom competitions in Amateur Cabaret and Amateur Smooth, to being a state of Utah sterling scholar finalist in Dance.

He has had the opportunity to dance with Colbie Caillat, David Archuleta, Kristen Chenoweth, and Alex Boyé. He also competed with FWD dance crew in the Red Bull Bracket Reel challenge on Red Bull Tv.

He also has excelled on the piano and violin, the latter giving him the opportunity to perform twice in New York City’s Carnegie Hall, with an international high school symphony orchestra, made up of students from around the world.

Some of Johnathan's recent credits include: Ensemble/Putnam u/s in 3 Summers of Lincoln (La Jolla Playhouse), Will in Emote: The Musical (Off-Broadway), Charlie Brown u/s in You’re a…Charlie Brown (Secret Theater NYC), Ensemble/Swing in The Nutty Professor (Hale Center Theatre), Henry in Disney's Newsies (Hale Center Theatre), Ensemble in Godspell (Brigham Young University), and Jamie in The Last 5 Years (Brigham Young University).

When Johnathan isn’t teaching or performing, he enjoys reading, roller skating, and traveling with his family.
